Wharton alumnus Scott Kleinman, C’94, W’94, returned to Steinberg Hall-Dietrich Hall on the University of Pennsylvania campus for a fireside chat exploring investing, energy, and the future of work. Leading the discussion was undergraduate leader Muhammad Vakil, W’26, a frequent moderator for fireside chats with the Finance Centers at the Wharton School.
Kleinman, co-president of Apollo Global Management and the founder of the Kleinman Center for Energy Policy in the Stuart Weitzman School of Design reflected on his Penn years, his nearly three decades at Apollo, the evolution of private markets, the promise and uncertainty of artificial intelligence, and the founding vision behind the Kleinman Center.
Wharton’s Vice Dean and Director of the Undergraduate Division Cait Lamberton introduced the discussion, which was presented by the Kleinman Center, the Wharton Alumni Connections Council, the Wharton Investment Management Club, and the Wharton Undergraduate Private Equity and Venture Capital Club — for which Vakil served as president through graduation (along with his role as president of the Wharton Undergraduate Consulting Club).
