Manotti Appointed Head of External Affairs
Kenneth Manotti will join Wharton as associate dean of External Affairs on Feb. 29. Manotti returns to campus after extensive domestic and international experience in campaign fundraising and alumni relations at Columbia and, most recently, the American University in Cairo. read news release
Social Impact Consulting Group Named Pilot Chapter of Net Impact

Wharton Risk Management and Decision Processes Center Works with World Economic Forum to Publish "Global Risks 2008"
Wharton Professor Howard Kunreuther, co-director of the Risk Management and Decision Processes Center, and Erwann Michel-Kerjan, managing director of the Center, participated in the "Global Risks 2008" report recently released by the World Economic Forum. Global business leaders and public policy-makers discussed the report at the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting in Davos last month. read more

Professors Mary Ellen Carter and Raffi Amit were among the faculty leading Wharton's Seminars for Business Journalists in San Francisco on Jan. 28. PhD Program in Applied Economics Announced
The recently launched doctoral program in Applied Economics combines the strengths of Wharton's Business and Public Policy, Insurance and Risk Management, and Real Estate departments. Wharton Entrepreneurial Programs hosted a first-of-its-kind open house for full-time and executive MBA students to network with west-coast based Wharton alumni. Entrepreneur-in-Residence Program Spring Line-up Announced
The Wharton Entrepreneur-in-Residence program, offering all Penn students the chance for one-on-one meetings with highly accomplished entrepreneurs, announced its roster of visiting entrepreneurs for the spring semester. Sophomore Cohort Career Exploration Series Kicks Off
The Wharton Undergraduate Division's sophomore cohort career exploration series kicked off last month with career workshops. Two trips to New York City are planned for this month. On Feb. 8, students will get a rare glimpse inside Conde Nast Publishing and the National Basketball Association. On Feb.15, students will tour the New York Stock Exchange followed by a tour and presentation at Deutsche Bank. read more

Winners of Shils-Zeidman Fellowships in Entrepreneurship Announced
Six MBA students from under-represented U.S. minority groups, developing countries, and Israel won the Edward B. Shils-Leonard L. Zeidman Fellowships in Entrepreneurship.
