As another academic year draws to a close, we have an opportunity to reflect on lessons learned and celebrate our successes, even as we look ahead to future responsibilities and challenges. I particularly want to thank the student leaders on our many advisory boards, councils, and conference planning committees for your dedication to enhancing the intellectual and extracurricular life of the Wharton School. Your energies this year have advanced our mission of social impact and strengthened the rigor and relevance of our academic programs. To our 2009 graduates: congratulations, and best of luck in the new jobs and experiences that await you. I look forward to seeing the rest of you on campus again next fall. Dean Thomas S. Robertson

 |
|

Several Wharton and other University of Pennsylvania faculty say that -- for the most part -- they have been impressed by the new leader's calm and reassuring style, his success in winning passage of a large-scale financial stimulus plan, his formation of a savvy and centrist economic team, and his adherence -- so far -- to a campaign promise to cut taxes for most citizens.
