An academic environment that produces the highest learning outcomes

At Wharton, we focus on learning — enabling students to fully engage new concepts to develop decision-making and leadership tools to last a lifetime. Because of this emphasis on active involvement, employers often say that they recruit Wharton students because they are among the strongest in strategic planning, innovative thinking, global business knowledge, and ability to "hit the ground running."

Academic Programs
Wharton has world-class programs at every level: Undergraduate, MBA, MBA Program for Executives, Doctoral, and Executive Education.

Interdisciplinary Programs
Undergraduate and graduate joint- and dual-degree programs

Wharton has led curricular development in business education through a rigorous core, an interdisciplinary approach, and hundreds of electives. Globally recognized joint-degree programs include the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology for undergraduates and the Lauder/Wharton MBA/MA program — both firsts of their kind. Leadership at Wharton
Programs and curriculum foster a unique brand of Wharton leadership.

Leadership development happens throughout the Wharton experience — it's woven into the curriculum and fostered through experiential learning opportunities that teach communication and ethical decision making.

The Wharton culture proves that leadership with collaboration produces the best results. Cornerstones of the MBA first-year curriculum and the undergraduate Management 100 course, learning teams help produce leaders who understand the impact they can have on an organization and community. Students take active leadership roles through more than 100 clubs and student-managed conferences, work with the administration on multiple initiatives to affect change, and take part in learning experiences like Leadership Ventures and Global Consulting Practicum.

Advanced Learning Approaches

Technology at Wharton
From seamless classroom technology to innovative academic programs, technology is part of the Wharton way of learning.

Classroom Experience
Features of Wharton's technology-enabled classroom design

Wharton's commitment to experiential learning extends to the creation of software simulations for the best learning results. Nearly 20 technology-enabled learning products have been developed by the Alfred West, Jr. Learning Lab, Wharton's development laboratory that explores new approaches to learning with Wharton faculty, and are being marketed through Pearson Addison-Wesley, the world's leading educational publisher. In fact, technology at Wharton is the integrated environment in which learning and research take place. Technology at Wharton includes cutting-edge facilities throughout Jon M. Huntsman Hall and Wharton West to enhance learning, while WRDS, the Wharton research database, is used by 20,000 faculty and students through licensing agreements with top business schools and universities.
