steps in selecting the right logo

notice Before you use the logo: Are you using the School name and marks correctly? The School has guidelines for specified users: faculty and staff, alumni, students, and external groups.

STEP 1: Select the correct size

The logo is available in a large and small size. Do not use the sizes interchangeably as each is formatted for the prescribed dimensions.

  • Large logo: In the large logo, the University of Pennsylvania tagline is directly under the Wharton logotype. Use this size when the printed logo is greater than 1.5 inches in width.
  • Small logo: In the small logo, the University of Pennsylvania tagline is beneath the shield and the Wharton logo type and extends across the length of the logo. Use this size when the printed logo is 1.5 inches or smaller in width.
Large logo: "University of Pennsylvania" extends only the width of "Wharton." Use when logo is greater than 1.5 inches wide.

  • EPS format: If your project is being professionally designed for offset or digital printing, select the Adobe Illustrator EPS (Encapsulated PostScript™) format. EPS files can be used at any size. Note: EPS files can only be opened using specialized software.
