The prize was awarded at the Wharton School’s annual Venture Finals April 25, 2006 where student finalists received a total of $70,000 in combined cash prizes, access to capital and in-kind legal/accounting services.

The partnership was made official at a signing ceremony on March 21, 2006 in Beijing. China Minsheng Banking Corporation, the country’s only privately-held bank, is expected to become one of the leading retail banks in China in the next few years.
