International Seminar for the Executive MBA

The International Seminar takes you inside individual companies and industries abroad and gives you an overview of the broader economic, political, social, and cultural factors that influence business opportunities and practice.

This required seminar marks the culmination of a semester-long examination into how business firms develop and implement strategy in a competitive global context. It follows the two-course core sequence, Competitive Strategy and Global Strategic Management.

A volunteer committee of students and faculty selects the destination and researches and plans the intensive week of corporate visits, during which students engage with senior management to discuss the strategy and challenges of international business.

Following the trip, students apply the insights gained from both their coursework and the International Seminar in team projects and papers.
