Student Perspective

EMBA student testimonials
Christine Parker, WG'05

“I took tremendous advantage of the Partners and Family Programs. Coming from Texas, I was eager to have my husband see where I went every other week. It was important to me to make him part of the MBA experience, fearing it would otherwise be viewed as ‘that thing that took up all my time.’ He came with me to Philadelphia often, even during weekends when no formal family activities were planned. He met my classmates, became friends with them, and learned to appreciate the people with whom I was sharing the rare and remarkable experience. That made the WEMBA experience something for us to share, rather than something that stood between us.”

Programs for Partners and Families

Jugglers, baseball games, ice skating, dinners on the town, trips to the aquarium. While you won't find these listed in the academic calendar, they are part of the program at Wharton. Each semester, we host special events to make students' partners and families a part of the experience.

Visiting campus for an afternoon or evening gives your partners and families a better picture of where you're going and the people you're spending time with. Some programs are planned for the whole family; others offer the chance to spend time with a partner, spouse, or close friend. Spouses and families can also make arrangements to stay with students on regular program nights.
