Igor Cerc, WG'03
“The most recent career benefit came only two and a half years after graduation when I joined Washington Mutual as a First Vice President leading a team responsible for customer analysis. With this move I was able to transition from manufacturing to banking — a relatively significant career change that would not have been possible without the Wharton credential.”

EMBA Career Resources
At Wharton, you will have the resources to manage your career with greater knowledge and confidence. As a student and later as a graduate, you can benefit from the high-level resources made available both during the program and through our lifelong career support for MBA alumni.
Career Counseling and Mentoring (all students)
During the first year, the program's adviser on group effectiveness and career development works with learning teams, and with individual students at their request, on concerns particularly relevant to mid-career professionals. Issues include such challenges as: handling difficult work relationships; adjusting to cultural differences in the workplace (whether across age, gender, or national borders); leadership issues, such as managing up, down, and among peers; considering an internal job offer; making the change from functional to general management; or planning career strategies within your current organization. For self-sponsored students, this process can also involve thinking through your next career move, clarifying your personal goals and values, and evaluating your job offers. Second-year students can also meet and talk with the program adviser on an individual basis.
MBA Exec Career Management Services (limited eligibility)
To be eligible to participate in Wharton’s MBA Exec Career Management services, a student must complete the Application for Participation form and provide the required documentation to indicate that s/he is entirely self-sponsored or has permission from his/her sponsor company. (Tuition reimbursement constitutes financial sponsorship.)
For MBA Exec students who meet the eligibility requirements, job search services will include resume review and representation in the MBA Experienced Hire Resume book, job search tools and resources, workshops focused on job search activities, and the opportunity to participate in the MBA Exec Recruiting Forums and coordinated corporate networking events.
Lifelong Alumni Career Support
Managing a career is an ongoing, lifelong process. MBA Career Management provides MBA alumni with web-based resources and information to successfully navigate job transitions, networking, and professional development, including access to our alumni Job Board.
