Before starting at Wharton in San Francisco, I spent eight years in the U.S. Navy as a submarine officer. The Wharton MBA program offered me the unique opportunity to gain valuable working experience in the biotech industry while obtaining a more traditional education in finance and operations. Since graduating from the Wharton program, I have held a variety of jobs in the biopharmaceutical industry, both in Europe and the U.S. I have had the opportunity to work in several functional areas during my career including finance, marketing, operations, and most recently business development. My education at Wharton gave me the background in finance and marketing that I needed to be successful in these roles.

A solid foundation
Prior to the Wharton program, I managed a small engineering group at Amgen in our facility maintenance organization. Since graduating from Wharton, I have completed an international assignment in Switzerland and have subsequently moved into a finance role supporting our sales & marketing organization. The WEMBA program helped make each of these transitions possible. The program provides a solid foundation for any career.
