Recruiting

Wharton's MBA Career Management offers comprehensive recruiting resources that connect employers with our students. The flexible and wide-ranging services include in-person events, virtual interviews, and online resume books.

Employer Information Sessions

Wharton typically hosts more than 175 employer information sessions each year. These presentations allow students to learn more about the culture and opportunities of potential employers and specific industries through presentations by senior managers and recently hired associates.

Interviewing on Campus

MBA Career Management facilitates nearly 8,000 MBA student interviews annually in up to 70 interviewing rooms on campus and in Philadelphia. Each year, close to 400 companies recruit on or near campus.

There is a seven-day break in first-year core classes during which a large number of companies conduct interviews for summer internships. This Dedicated Interview Period (DIP) helps students minimize the conflict between interviewing and coursework. Wharton's web-based recruiting system allows students to apply to positions, check interview schedules and schedule interviews 24 hours a day.

Resume Book

Students have the opportunity to participate in Wharton’s web-based resume system which gives recruiters from more than 325 companies a convenient tool to search and identify students who meet their hiring needs.

Job Board

A free online job posting board is available to Wharton alums and students. In 2010-2011, almost 7,000 internship, full-time, and alumni-level positions were posted from employers in a variety of industries and locations in the U.S. and abroad.
