Wharton attracts more women than virtually any other MBA program worldwide. The MBA class of 2013 is comprised of 45% women.Wharton women enjoy an enriching academic environment and experience opportunities to develop their leadership skills within the school as well as Philadelphia communities. The broad range of 18 majors prepares women to pursue career paths that range from industry and business to the government and nonprofit sectors.

Wharton Women in Business (WWIB)

WWIB focuses on issues relevant to women in business school, providing social and networking opportunities with fellow students, alumnae, faculty, administrators, executives, and entrepreneurs. Open to all female MBA students at Wharton, WWIB is both a social and professional organization, spearheading efforts at Wharton and the greater business community regarding admissions, alumnae outreach, professional development, and recruiting. WWIB organizes and sponsors a variety of events for the Wharton community, including:

  • The Annual WWIB Conference with more than 500 attendees
  • The WWIB Career Fair
  • Annual Distinguished Alumna Award and Reception
  • Coffee Chats enable candidates to meet female Wharton students in hometowns around the globe

The Forté Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing women leaders in business and increasing their access to education and business networks.
