APPLICATION ACADEMIC YEAR 2012-2013

Application to both the GCP and/or DCP is a three-part process. In the first part you will email a set of required documents to the Wharton GCP email as a team. In the second part, each individual team member will fill out an online application with details specific to them. The third and final step will be to sign-up for and attend a team interview.
Subsequent to the interview process, teams will be selected for projects on the basis of their:
•Participants’ commitment to the program
•Relevant experience and skills
•Leadership and teamwork
•The balance of strengths need for a particular project.

Part 1
INSTRUCTIONS FOR RESUMES AND COVER LETTERS
The first pass screening of applications will be done on the basis of your team’s cover letter and resumes.
Email RESUMES FOR ALL FIVE TEAM MEMBERS, a SINGLE GROUP COVER LETTER and your team’s PROJECT PREFERENCES to the GCP at wgcp@wharton.upenn.edu. There is a form to complete in order to indicate your team’s preferences here. You will not receive an automated confirmation of receipt. However, we will email a confirmation of receipt to you the business day following your submission. Please indicate in the upper left hand corner of your cover letter: your names and years of graduation, e-mail addresses and phone numbers.
Please include in your cover letter (2 to 3 pages in length) the following information:
1) The reasons for your interest in participating in GCP, the particular projects in which you would like to participate, and your expectations for personal gain from participation in a GCP project.
2) The strengths, knowledge and work expertise that you can bring to a particular industry or project. If you are applying as a team, the cover letter would explain what each person will bring to the team.
3) Experience closely related to the subject or industry of a project in which you are interested.
4) Any relevant experience or skills that would be useful for the GCP project(s).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INDIVIDUAL ONLINE APPLICATIONS
All members of your team must individually apply via our online application. Please preview the application questions here so that you can collect all of the information you will need in advance to complete the application.

Please click the following link and sign-up for your team interview for the program. Please be sure to be on-time for your interview and notify us via email (wgcp@wharton.upenn.edu) at least 48 hours in advance if you will need to cancel or reschedule your interview.

Please be aware that we are not able to GUARANTEE candidates will be placed in projects of their preference, but we have a good history of placing people on their top choices. Please also be aware that we tentatively plan to travel to Chile, China, Israel, Nigeria, Spain, Taiwan and the United Arab Emirates. If you are selected for a project, you may elect to participate without travel should you have travel safety concerns.
Project descriptions are based on initial conversations with clients. The final project focus, including goals, scope and deliverables, is mutually agreed upon by the client and the team.
