Industry-academic cooperation is at the core of much of Wharton faculty research. Not only does Wharton research emphasize relevance to real-world questions, but faculty also provide and build leadership for current business challenges by consulting and working directly with corporations, government, and executives.

Custom Programs
In Wharton's customized programs, Wharton's faculty give companies the specific knowledge they need, when and where they need it. Companies access the resources of one of the world's largest and finest business schools to develop focused solutions to specific challenges. Wharton offers the teaching and expertise of outstanding faculty in diverse areas and experience in delivering programs to more than 10,000 executives every year.

Partnerships With Corporations and Foundations
A unique program called The Wharton Partnership brings together member organizations — corporations and foundations — in order to create long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. Partner firms provide the School with assistance for student and faculty research and curriculum development initiatives, insight into current business practices and issues, and annual financial support. Through their alliance with Wharton, member organizations have access to critical developments in management education and research and to a premier group of MBA and undergraduate students. Through ongoing activities, Wharton Partners are the most active, well-informed, and visible organizations on campus.

Faculty Research Initiatives in China
As part of Wharton's continued exploration of issues in international business, the School has partnered with several Chinese companies and educational institutions, such as Chinatrust Bank (U.S.A.), the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University, and China Europe International Business School. These partnerships are designed to strengthen relationships between Wharton and Chinese companies, sponsor Wharton faculty research on China, facilitate research collaboration between Wharton faculty and their counterparts in Greater China, and offer Wharton students who are interested in Chinese business and culture the opportunity to study abroad.
