The world is increasingly interconnected, the face of employment is rapidly changing, and the economic upheavals roll on. Education is at a crossroads:
- Have we as educators kept up with this evolution of global consciousness?
- Have we considered the possibility that the status quo no longer meets the challenges of today’s world?
- Are we prepared, if necessary, to transform an entire system of pedagogies and administrative infrastructures?
The Wharton School's Alfred West Jr Learning Lab is proud to sponsor the 2009 Evolution of Learning symposium to discuss these issues with our Higher Education colleagues. The keynote speaker will be Daniel Pink, best-selling author of A Whole New Mind and The Adventures of Johnny Bunko, who is renowned for addressing the changing model of work and our shift from the information age to the conceptual age.
After his address, Mr. Pink will lead the following panel of educators and administrators in a discussion of how to respond (or not) to this unique moment in the history of higher education:
