Program Requirements
- The intention to become a university professor. In most instances this will be in a business or law school.
- Strong academic record.
- Many, although not all, successful applicants will possess a law degree. Applicants who lack a law degree will usually have other training that is relevant to our program, such as ethical theory, business, or philosophy.
- Strong GRE or GMAT scores. GRE scores are preferred, but GMAT scores are accepted.
Admission to Candidacy
Before admission to candidacy, the student is required to:
- Complete 20 course units, including all core courses.
- Take and pass two written core examinations.
- A writing sample, such as an essay or term paper.
Financial Aid
Doctoral students are granted a multi-year fellowship, including tuition and a
stipend. After their first year, students are required to perform research or teaching duties.
