Matching Gifts
Matching gifts make up a large source of additional revenue for the School. Please know that a matching gift is a benefit offered by many employers. The matching gift forms can be found in your human resources office. To see if your employer has a matching gift program please ask HR or check the University’s matching gift website at www.wharton.upenn.edu/alumni/whartonfund/Matching_Gifts.cfm

Securities / Stocks
For securities held by a broker:

  • Fax a letter of intent (fax number: +1-215-898-2695) to the Wharton School indicating:
    1. intent to make a gift of securities
    2. type and number of shares being transferred
    3. purpose of the gift (Wharton Fund, named scholarship, endowment, etc.)

  • Ask your broker call the University’s Trust Administration Office for transfer instructions. The University of Pennsylvania has many brokerage firms, and Trust Administration can provide the appropriate account number for a relatively simple transaction.
