From Delaware or Philadelphia International Airport:
Follow 95 North to Exit 17 (Callowhill Street). Stay
in right lane of exit ramp, this will put you on Callowhill
Street. FollowCallowhill Street to 8th Street,
make a left turn. Follow 8th Street to Walnut
Street, make a right turn. Follow Walnut onto 9th
Street, make a right turn. Follow 9th Street
to Chestnut Street, make a right turn. The entrance to
the Benjamin Franklin House is 100 feet on the right-hand
side.
From New York or New Jersey: Take
Exit 4 off the New Jersey Turnpike. Follow 73N to 38W,
then 38W to 30W. Follow signs and cross the BENJAMIN
FRANKLIN BRIDGE. Over the bridge, proceed straight to
8th Street, make a left turn onto 8th.
Follow to Walnut Street, make a right turn to 9th
Street. Then make a right turn onto Chestnut Street.
The entrance to the Benjamin Franklin House is 100 feet
on the right-hand side.
From 76 East (VALLEY FORGE): Take the 676
(Center City) South exit. Then exit onto 8th
Street south. Proceed on 8th Street to Walnut
Street, take a right turn. The next street is Chestnut,
take a right turn. The entrance to the Benjamin Franklin
House is 100 feet on the right-hand side.
Parking: Complimentary Valet Parking and entrance
are located on Chestnut Street, in front of the main entrance.

From I-95:
Take I-95 (from North or South) to exit #20 (formerly exit
#16) marked variously: Historic Area, Penn's Landing, Columbus
Blvd, Washington Ave. At the traffic light turn left onto
Columbus Blvd (aka Delaware Ave.). Pass the Hyatt Regency
Philadelphia at Penn's Landing on your right; the next building
is the Museum. At the traffic light notice the Walnut Street
Pedestrian Bridge overpass ahead. Turn right into the Museum
just before the bridge. The circular driveway leads to the
entrance to the Penn's Landing Parking Lot.
Parking: Additional parking is also available at
several attended lots along Penn's Landing as well as at
meters and several lots within the Old City vicinity. Parking
is within easy walking distance to the Historic Area, many
restaurants, the Visitors Center and other attractions.
From Center City, Walking:
From the Visitors Center on 3rd Street just south
of Chestnut Street, it's an easy five block walk to the
Museum. Walk a half block south to Walnut Street, turn left
to 2nd Street and past Olde Original Bookbinder's Restaurant
to Front Street, then straight ahead over the pedestrian
bridge crossing highway I-95. You will see the Delaware
River ahead and the Museum on your right as you walk down
the steps (there is an elevator if needed).
