Leadership
Leadership Ventures Program
These co-curricular experiential learning opportunities bring participants, at the graduate and undergraduate level, into environments in which they can learn from their own experience in confronting challenges, solving problems and leading teams.
Leadership Conferences
These one-day, intensive events provide Wharton alumni and top executives with the opportunity to hear from the foremost international leaders in the private, public and nonprofit sectors, as well as from Wharton faculty, about relevant issues.
Leader-in-Residence Program
The Leader-in-Residence Program is a new initiative that would bring leaders to campus several times each month, hailing from diverse fields in both the public and private sectors. Students would have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with these leaders, expanding their professional network and gaining insight into their future careers.
Entrepreneurship
Societal Wealth Program
Housed within Wharton Entrepreneurial Programs, the Societal Wealth Program applies knowledge from the University's manifold disciplines that will turn profits while aggressively addressing social problems on a global scale.
Venture Initiation Program
The Venture Initiation Program is an educational business incubator that supports Penn student entrepreneurs through professional advising, scheduled workshops, extensive informal alumni networking, provision of workspace and seed funding.
Wharton Venture Award
The Wharton Venture Award is given to select entrepreneurial Wharton students in the venture development process. The award is intended to financially support a student over the summer in lieu of a full-time internship, so that he or she can concentrate full-time on developing his or her venture.
Social Impact
Initiative for Global Environmental Leadership (IGEL)
The Initiative for Global Environmental Leadership is a new priority at the School, which brings together business leaders, professors at Wharton and other schools at Penn, and a network of top global experts in relevant fields to discuss and research selected topics concerning business and the natural environment.
Wharton Social Impact Consulting Practicum
The Wharton Social Impact Consulting Practicum will enable Wharton students to work in teams to develop and integrate business skills while helping nonprofits to succeed in their mission and develop a business model that leads to greater self-sustainability.
Social Impact Loan Forgiveness Fund
MBA or undergraduate students committed to working in a socially responsible position post-graduation could apply to this fund for loan forgiveness. By alleviating debt burden, this fund would enable more students to pursue careers with social impact.
