The Campaign For Wharton

Donor Profile: Leadership

Forget the creature comforts of home. From the Grand Tetons and the Patagonian Trail to Mount Kilimanjaro, the Wharton Leadership Ventures program drops undergraduate and MBA students into challenging natural landscapes and compels them to lead. "By giving students responsibility to achieve certain goals, Leadership Ventures teaches them what works, what doesn't and how to become a more effective leader," says Grant G. Behrman, WG'77, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at New York and San Francisco-based Behrman Capital. To Grant, the trips deliver "a very effective paradigm for honing leadership skills in a practical setting and distinguishes the Wharton School."

Grant's commitment is helping Wharton to grow the program offerings and engage more students. The expansion of the Leadership curriculum is an important part of the School's Campaign goals; keeping Wharton at the forefront of practical business education. "I feel grateful and indebted to the School for providing me with a good education," Grant says.
