Jeffrey Weingarten has over 30 years of investment experience. For more than 20 years he was with Goldman Sachs during which time he was consistently voted Institutional Investor's top tobacco and beverage analyst in the United States. In 1986 he moved to London and became Goldman's Director of International Equity Research, responsible for all non-US research activities. He was also the firm's global equity strategist, and again was ranked highly in the annual Institutional Investor poll. After building one of the leading research departments in Europe, he became the Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs Asset Management International and the Chief Investment Officer of its International Equity Products. In 1998 he retired as a General Partner in order to form Buttonwood. Jeffrey is a CFA and has passed numerous US securities examinations.
