Joint-Degree Program in Nursing and Health Care Management
The joint-degree program between Penn's School of Nursing and the Wharton School addresses the dynamic changes in the delivery and financing of health care services in the United States and the public's concern about the quality, cost, and management of health care. This program combines a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Economics (BS Econ) from the Wharton School with a concentration in Health Care Management and Policy.

For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to do something health-oriented. My ambition growing up was to emulate my dad and become a practicing doctor. Then, during my high school years, my interests broadened, so I was looking for a school that would help me attain the skills required to assume a leadership role in health care. I felt that business would give me the real-world tools to help improve the health care industry.
