We live in a global society, and that's reflected in every part of Wharton and Penn.
At Wharton, your classmates will come from more than 40 countries, and you'll have opportunities such as minoring in a language, interning in another country, studying abroad, and doing meaningful social impact work, research, or a leadership venture in a foreign country. What's more, you'll become part of a global network of  85,000 Wharton alums across the globe.

A World Community

Penn is a true global community. Your peers, professors, and administrators come from every background imaginable and are here to inform and enrich your experience. You'll find more international students than at any other Ivy League university, and the most students studying abroad. You'll discover clubs, centers, and events that reflect the diversity of our community — from the Penn Arab Student Society, to performances by Latin dance group Onda Latina, to discussion panels held by Check One, a group dedicated to supporting multiracial students.

The Global Curriculum
Penn has a wide selection of courses that focus on other countries and regions, and Wharton also offers a variety of courses on international topics — such as International Banking, Multinational Marketing, Globalization & International Political Economy, and Human Rights & Globalization. What's more, nearly every course you take at Wharton will incorporate international business issues and trends.

If you want to focus on international business while you are here, consider pursuing a concentration in Global Analysis or applying to the Huntsman Program in International Studies & Business. Or combine your Wharton degree with a degree from the College, with majors such as Political Science, History, International Relations, and French.

Study Abroad Opportunities
Wharton has 20+ programs with the world's top business schools, specifically designed to fit our curriculum. You can study in countries from Argentina and Italy to India and Australia and take classes that fulfill business and liberal arts requirements. On top of that, Penn has partnerships with more than 100 programs across the globe where Wharton students can take arts and sciences courses. Visit the Penn Abroad Programs Website.

So, no matter where you want to go, what you want to study, or what languages you speak, you can (and should) study abroad.

Wharton International Program (WIP)

In Their Own Words
"Learning so much about other people's cultures — my learning team has a Puerto Rican, Brazilian, Colombian, and Indian — made me more open to other people’s cultures and to sharing mine as well."
